Reflections on grieving

O my God, teach me to be generous
to serve you as you deserve to be served
to give without counting the cost
to fight without fear of being wounded
to work without seeking rest
and to spend myself without expecting any reward
but the knowledge that I am doing your holy will.
Stand with my beautiful friend,
Calm the pain,
hold her as she has rest.
Take her home in your loving embrace.
She is and will always be loved.
If that be thy will.
May we find peace in the eye of the storm by holding onto God and his immense love.

It's a really challenging time. I'm going with it. I might be all over the place but I'm trusting in God that this is he's will and that grace will abound. Everything else can wait. I'm still in his loving embrace and present to what's going on.
