31/52: a portrait project

" a portrait of my children, every week, for 2014."

Miss Four| such a bright creative spirit.

Little Fox| busy in the kitchen making tea.

Siblings| mixing cookie dough for the first time together for Intentional Learning Class. What a moment.

At home|
Despite the fire being on it's chilly and frosty outside, the garden is struggling against the frost and high winds and we have stayed indoors for much of the week.  Mohair blankets, winter woolies and quilts are plentiful. Tully has been unwell with a cold, congested and needing a lot of comfort.  Poppy is sporting cheeks that are a little more rosy than usual, the cough at night has returned, fingers crossed it's just a sniffle. I'm making bone broths, increasing meat in our diets, using olive leaf extract and Eucalyptus balm to help with congestion and building the immune system with lots of fruit, Oak bach flower remedy and Vitamin D supplements. The August winds have arrived and today it almost felt like Spring as I had an afternoon date in Fitzroy with Ads until late afternoon when the chill set in. My Lisa B socks with salties, uggs and cardis are getting a workout.
I've been quiet this week resting when l can with the tribe. The endless cycle of kinder runs, housework and mothering leaves little opportunity to do much else. Some Winter pinnies were sewn, a quilt ready for quilting and lots of cooking. Miss 4 had her first integration afternoon at primary school which was an incredible moment. She is going to be heading to school and how almost five years have flown by.

We are running a giveaway over on Instagram @thepoppyfox of a poppyfox creation, handmade in my studio in Melbourne. You can find our reversible Sunday pinnie's, fox pants, accessories and our Intentional learning resources here. Reversible Charlie Slings and Amber totes will be stocked this week in the shop sorry for the delay it's been a bit nuts. We are also starting custom wrap skirts for women with over sized pockets, the perfect skirt with tights or saltwaters for spring/summer. Custom spots will be up in the next couple of days.
I'm going to attempt a kitchen + Intentional learning blog post tomorrow afternoon, the week just gone went in a blink. Sharing two cookie recipes and how to get the kids involved. So stay tuned I'm blogging this week.
