BITS + PIECES: Stills- a weekly collection

Since being home from holidays we have found a calm rythmn to our days. Slow days of morning reading, breakfasts, intentional learning and play dates. Family drives, swimming and shared meals. Moments of solace in the garden, pulling up sunburnt plants, unearthing new space and breathing in new possibilities.

I wrote all about practising simplicity and holidaying here. The last few weeks it has been all about celebrating nature and the beach and the vibrancy of summer you can read all about it here.
This week it's about family:
1-2. Miss four at the zoo, happy, passionate and so joyful to be with friends + surrounded by the animals she loves so much
3. home is where the heart is
4. lazy mornings and sleep
5. both of you giggling and playing is pure magic. I'm grateful for your imprint on my heart and life
6-12. I love a sunburnt country and the beauty of vineyards as far as the eye can see. Taking a drive in the yarra valley after swimming. Meandering in the forest, spotting an enchida, checking out the river for fly fishing spots, visiting friends with chickens. A spontaneous adventure.
13. Intentional learning classes- practising writing, words and animals
14-15. Lessons in the garden, pulling plants, harvesting and exploring seasonal produce. The heatwave was not kind to the garden.
16-19. We celebrated Australia Day by collecting gum leaves and painting them over the long weekend. Observing nature and practising painting botanicals
20. She dived for the rings for the first time at swim class, this was such a moment.
21-22. The simplicity of outdoor play. It's so beautiful to watch.

Joining the bettleshack for Stills and you can read all the past Poppyfoxathome Stills here. I'm looking forward to seeing/ and hearing about what everyone else has been up to. So many good ones last week, light and shadow captured beautifully, little fingers and toes, celebrating the Australian summer and family. Enjoy the sunny days ahead. I'm hoping for a beach day. What have you been up to? Leave a comment and tell me how you spent the long weekend. I would love to hear from you.
