" a portrait of my children, every week, for 2014."
Miss Four/ a week by the sea. Dancing at a festival in the chai tent as the sun set. We spent long days at the beach, swimming, chasing the waves and exploring the many rock pools, all those possibilities and treasures to be found.
Little Fox/ overnight you've lost that baby face and become more of a little boy. You've swam with joy, kicking your feet in the rock pools and practising walking holding onto us. You grow more confident daily, today you climbed the stairs, those legs are going to take you places. I'm not sure I'm ready for you to walk but your joy in achieving independance standing and holding into us taking your first steps is beautiful to witness.
~ Joining Jodi over at Practising Simplicity for the 52/2014 project ~
As mentioned last week, Jodi writes all about the project here if you didn't catch it last week. And you can read all about last year's 52/2013 project and see all the 52 portraits of my tribe here. I confess to loving this 52 series, Tully was born on the 28th and was days old when l started taking weekly portraits of my children. It has become a symbolic part of acknowledging the small things in our daily lives, in my mothering and in the changes I see occur in my tribe. I can't wait to get the 2013 collection published into a book soon.
Other news, the Kitchen Series Link up here will recommence in February as this month will be filled with holidays, gardening, housework and lots of time with my tribe trying to keep things simple.
